Kevin Gallo

Director of Solutions Development, Office of Telecom Services, US GSA

Kevin Gallo is the Director of Solutions Development for the Office of Telecommunications Services in US General Service Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS).

Kevin is responsible for providing solutions engineering advice and assistance to federal agencies, including expertise for network modernization and transition, and developing improved data analytics and systems enhancements.

Previously, he was the program manager for the Network Services 2020 (NS2020) strategy, which streamlined network services operations and launched the 15-year, multi-billion-dollar Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) acquisition. He led the Future Commercial Satellite Communications Services Acquisition (FCSA), the groundbreaking partnership between GSA and the Department of Defense that quickly became a $500M/year common marketplace for the entire federal government to procure its commercial SATCOM services. Before coming to GSA, he was a senior communications engineer and project manager with SRC, Northrop Grumman and TRW, where he engineered systems for the National Reconnaissance Office, the Defense Information Systems Agency, and other Government agencies. While at DISA, he managed DoD’s transition of commercial telecommunications services to the FTS2001 contract and engineered a new optical network for the Global Information Grid. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, piloting the H-53 helicopter.

He received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an M.B.A. degree from the University of Maryland.
